The Great Storm of 2017 was an event that started on October 19, 2017, five days before the Halloween Party 2017. It continued through the party, and ended on November 5, 2017.

Trivia[]
- It was first hinted at on the blog by sneak peeks of October, then confirmed in Issue #31 of the Club Penguin Times by Gary.
- It was the second natural disaster on Club Penguin Rewritten.
- It was also the first time it rained on Club Penguin Rewritten.
- The first natural disaster was when an avalanche hit the Dojo leading to the Dig Out the Dojo event.
- The event was originally scheduled to begin on October 18, 2017, but due to delays, the event did not start until October 19, 2017.
- It rained for two days straight and stopped raining on October 22, 2017. Clouds from the storm still stayed after.
- It is possible it was stopped for the Club Penguin 12th Anniversary Party, as well as the fact it had been causing severe lag for low-end devices.
